As a ship owner, in a joint venture with Denizcilik A.S of Turkey , our  fleet consists of two Panamax Bulk Carriers and two Kamsarmax newbuildings on order in Korea . Cerrahgil has a century long history of long term servicing agreements with our domestic and overseas clients. These include steel firms and import and export trading enterprises. Contracts of Affreightment from Turkish Steel Mills – Erdemir for the carriage of coking coal, iron ore or slabs from Australia, South Africa, India, USA, South America and Northern Europe are regularly upheld and carried out using our owned panamax tonnage and chartered in capesize vessels from major international owners and operators. The cargo thus transported has included such grains as wheat, barley, corn and soya, as well as coal, iron ore, steel, fertilizer and scrap.

Our crew are graduates of marine colleges and have many years of practical experience in all aspects of the shipping business. The vessels are registered under the Turkish International Ship Register. The vessels are manned in accordance with Turkish Flag regulations which are fully compliant with and accepted by the International Trade Federation. Group vessels all sail normally with our additional technical and maintanance personnel, whose sole duties are running maintenance whilst at sea.

The Group employs a 100 % Turkish crew and enjoy the benefits of safety and efficiency that only a single nationality, single language crew can bring.

All crew members are certified by the Turkish government in compliance with IMO, Solas, Marpol and STCW regulations.

As part of the group’s support of the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation – TUDEV at least 10 cadets are employed at any time on group ships as part of their practical experience during their TUDEV course.
